Affiliate marketing is a web-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts.
Simply put if I have a book on my website that I sell for $30.00 and you send someone to my website from your website, or and email, or any other way with a special link then I will pay you a percentage of the sale. Usually the percentage that I will pay back to you is about half of the price of the product. In my example then I would pay you $15.00.
There are a lot of advantages to using affiliate marketing. The biggest advantage usually comes from after you create a website that provides some sort of value. Your website can offer something as simple as information, then link to websites that offer a product for sale. When someone buys that product you get paid. So let’s say that you are a photographer by profession. You could create a website that and share information for the armature photographer that would help them take better pictures. Then you give some links to websites that offer relevant products like a photo sharing website or a picture frame website of an online camera web store. When the people that visit your website click the links you have provided and buy some of those products you get paid.
Affiliate Marketing is probably the simplest way to make money online, because you don’t need to have a product. The only tricky part is that you do need to find a way to get traffic. There are many people who have used affiliate marketing to generate millions of dollars per year, and once your business is set up properly it doesn’t take much time to continue making big money.
